A group of people treat someone as their enemy, only to learn that this same person is the one who will save them. The series follows the fallout as old hostility turns into reluctant trust and the truth about who is really on their side comes to light.
i barely recognized the girls i'd grown up with i don't care what you do your future isn't my problem anymore they clearly hadn't expected that answer after all the three of us had been inseparable for the past 18 years what the hell i was done arguing with them but before i could leave, Ethan blocked my way again. Don't fall for it. He's pretending he doesn't
care because he knows it'll get under your skin. This whole nice guy act, it's just another way to control you. He wants you to panic, regret your decision, and run back to Harvard with him. So that's what you're doing? Forget it, Ryan. We're not changing our minds. I don't care about Harvard or that stupid 10 grand. You can go
to Harvard alone. Wherever Ethan goes, we go. Ethan shot me a smug look, then led Jessica and Megan away. They still thought this was some game I was playing to win them back. They had no idea. I'd already let them go. I sighed. Just then, Harvard admissions called. Hi, Ryan. I'm I'm calling from Harvard Admonitions. Your application really stood out.
Really? Yes. We were also looking at Jessica and Megan, but they both withdrew. Now you are the only one left.
