A group of people treat someone as their enemy, only to learn that this same person is the one who will save them. The series follows the fallout as old hostility turns into reluctant trust and the truth about who is really on their side comes to light.
Four years later, the three of us graduated from Harvard. Jessica and Megan both landed high-paying jobs in Silicon Valley. Everyone said I'd save their futures. I thought so too.
But one night after work, they cornered me in the parking garage. If you hadn't kept us away from Ethan, he'd still be alive. That night, they killed me. When I opened my eyes again, I was back at the exact moment they decided to follow Ethan to that community
We can't let Ryan find out about this. Jesus. Ryan? How long have you been standing there? How much did you hear? They probably thought I'd try to stop them again.
This time I'll just stand back and watch them throw their lives away. Nothing. I just got here. The second I said that, Jessica and Megan both relaxed. Then they quickly tried to cover it up. Oh. We were just talking about college.
Yeah. Harvard. We were talking about applying together, like we always planned. Right. Harvard. Ethan put an arm around each of them, clearly trying to get a reaction out of Ryan. Didn't see you there.
You know, you don't have to follow us everywhere. The girls and I can have our own plans. Ethan. Before, that would have pissed me off.
But this time, I just smiled. Of course, they're all yours. What the hell is that supposed to mean?
